Ingredients
  

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry puree fresh strawberries blended
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons strawberry puree
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, vanilla, and strawberry puree.
  • Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
  • Pipe or spoon the batter into donut pan cavities about 3/4 full.
  • Bake donuts for 10 to 12 minutes, until they spring back when touched.
  • Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove to a wire rack.
  • Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar, strawberry puree, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Dip the tops of cooled donuts into the glaze and let set before serving.

Notes

  • Add pink food coloring for a brighter glaze color.
  • Use freeze-dried strawberry powder to intensify flavor.
  • Top with sprinkles or coconut for extra texture.
  • Best eaten on the same day for freshness.
