1 bowl used for seasoning chicken

1 microwave optional, for warming fillings
- 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 can 14 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or blend
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 –6 large flour tortillas
- Optional toppings: salsa sour cream, avocado or guacamole, chopped cilantro, lime wedges
Combine the cooked chicken with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl and stir until evenly coated.
Warm the seasoned chicken, rice, and black beans in a skillet or microwave until heated through, if desired.
Lay a flour tortilla flat and add rice, seasoned chicken, black beans, and shredded cheese.
Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll tightly to enclose all ingredients.
For a crispier burrito, place seam-side down in a skillet over medium heat and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until golden.
