Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1 tsp onion powder optional
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 to 3 cups shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or blend
  • Optional add-ins: diced onions pickles, ketchup, mustard, diced tomatoes
  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions
 

  • Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spoon until browned.
  • Season beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder; drain excess fat.
  • Arrange 4 tortillas and sprinkle each with shredded cheese.
  • Evenly distribute cooked beef over the cheese and add any optional toppings.
  • Add more cheese on top and cover each with another tortilla to form quesadillas.
  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly butter or oil the surface.
  • Grill each quesadilla 2 to 3 minutes per side, pressing gently, until cheese melts and tortillas are golden crispy.
  • Cut quesadillas into wedges and serve warm with sauces like ketchup or mustard.

Notes

  • Use a cheddar and Monterey Jack blend for best melting cheese.
  • Add ranch, chipotle mayo, or burger sauce for extra flavor.
  • Sautéed onions or jalapeños add nice texture.
