1 baking sheet lined with parchment paper
1 mixer to cream butter and sugars
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup melted chocolate optional for dipping
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Beat together softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet mixture to form dough.
Roll the dough into balls and shape each into a heart on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack.
Optional: Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate and allow to set.
