  • 1 lb frozen waffle fries
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup brown gravy beef or chicken
  • 1 tbsp olive oil optional
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Spread waffle fries evenly on a baking sheet and optionally toss with olive oil.
  • Bake fries for 18 to 22 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
  • While fries bake, warm gravy in a small saucepan until hot and pourable.
  • Remove fries from oven and sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over them.
  • Return fries to oven for 3 to 5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Drizzle hot gravy over the cheesy fries.
  • Top with crispy bacon crumbles and black pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese for better melt and stretch.
  • Air-fry fries at 400°F for 12 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Add sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick.
  • Serve on a warmed plate to keep cheese gooey longer.
