Equipment

  • 1 heart-shaped cutter for cutting puff pastry
  • 1 Rolling Pin lightly flour surface for rolling

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup strawberries sliced
  • 3 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lightly roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface.
  • Use a heart-shaped cutter to cut out hearts and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Spread a thin layer of strawberry jam in the center of each heart, leaving a small border.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries on top of the jam.
  • Brush the edges of each heart with beaten egg to ensure a golden, flaky crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  • Allow tarts to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
