Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup tomato finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely diced
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño minced (optional)
  • 1 –2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut avocados, remove pits, and scoop into a bowl. Mash with a fork, leaving some chunks.
  • Stir in tomato, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño if using.
  • Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or lime juice if needed.
  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips or use as a topping.

Notes

  • Keep an avocado pit in the guacamole to slow browning.
  • Cover with plastic wrap pressed onto surface to maintain freshness.
  • Add minced garlic for extra flavor.
  • Great as a topping for tacos or burgers.
