Equipment

  • 1 microwave-safe bowl or heatproof bowl with saucepan for double boiler
  • 1 wire rack for setting glaze on donuts

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons light corn syrup

Instructions
 

  • Place chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted and smooth.
  • Alternatively, melt ingredients using a double boiler.
  • Stir well until the glaze is glossy and silky.
  • Dip the top of each donut into the warm glaze.
  • Lift donuts and let excess glaze drip off.
  • Place glazed donuts on a wire rack and allow glaze to set for 10-15 minutes.

Notes

  • Warm glaze briefly if it thickens too much.
  • Add 1-2 teaspoons warm milk for thinner consistency.
  • Enhance flavor with ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.
