- 1 small French baguette or Italian bread loaf
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
- 2 cloves garlic finely minced
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: pinch of black pepper
Mix softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and optional black pepper in a small bowl until well combined.
Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place both halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
Spread the garlic butter evenly over the bread, covering the edges for full flavor.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the bread, then add the cheddar cheese on top.
Lightly sprinkle chopped parsley over the cheese.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the bread for 8–10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Optionally broil for 1–2 minutes to achieve golden-brown spots, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
- Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.
- Balance butter quantity to keep bread crisp, not greasy.
- Broil briefly for attractive golden char marks.
