Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1 tsp onion powder optional
  • 8 slider buns or small rolls
  • 1 to 1½ cups shredded cheese cheddar, American, or preferred
  • ½ to ¾ cup BBQ sauce plus extra for serving
  • Optional toppings: sliced pickles diced onions, lettuce, tomato

Instructions
 

  • Season ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder if using; gently mix and form into 8 small slider-sized patties.
  • Heat skillet or grill over medium-high heat and cook patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  • Brush cooked patties with BBQ sauce and warm briefly in the pan or on the grill to caramelize the sauce.
  • Place each patty on a slider bun, top with shredded cheese to melt, and add optional toppings as desired.
  • Serve the sliders warm with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Use a broiler or cover pan briefly to melt cheese faster.
  • Add ranch or mayo for extra creaminess.
  • Serve sliders with fries, chips, or slaw.
