- 1 lb ground beef 80/20
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Favorite toppings lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles
- Optional sauces mayo, ketchup, mustard, aioli
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan, parsley if using, and salt and pepper; stir until smooth and set aside.
Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and flatten each into a thin patty.
Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of ricotta filling on 4 patties, leaving a border around the edges.
Top each filled patty with another patty and pinch edges gently to seal.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Place sealed burgers in the air fryer basket in a single layer, cook for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through until cooked through and browned.
Optionally, toast buns in the air fryer for 1 to 2 minutes.
Assemble burgers on buns with your favorite toppings and sauces. Serve hot.
